follows:
Batch 1: 10.00 am to 11.00 am Batch
2: 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm

Transceiver Assembling Workshop at NIAR
A 40 Meter Transceiver (JOTA
model) assembling workshop was held at NIAR, Hyderabad during 7 to 10 July 2011. It
was conducted by Mr. Rama Prabhu, VU2DEV and Mr.Sudhindra, VU3PWT.
ADCN Station at Chickmagalur set up
The Amateur Radio Advanced
Digital Communication Network (ADCN) Station at Chickmagalur was set up at Mountain View College on 7th July, 2011. The

Inauguration of Radio Messaging Server at VU2IIH, Bangalore
The
Amateur Radio Messaging Server (RMS) Gateway Station was inaugurated by
Mr.B.M.Baveja, VU2BMB, Group Coordinator, Department of Information
Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology,
Government of India at Indian Institute of Hams, (VU2IIH), 2nd Floor,
Gate No.2, Sree Kanteerava Outdoor Stadium, Kasturba Road, Bangalore 560001
on Wednesday, 6th July 2011.This project is implemented by National
Institute of Amateur Radio (NIAR), Hyderabad.

Award Plaques were recently received from

simultaneously by NIAR to celebrate its Silver Jubilee.

Hams may get ready to operate from VU4
National Institute
of Amateur Radio (NIAR), Hyderabad had
earlier organized a successful Dx-pedition (VU4NRO/VU4RBI) in Port Blair,
Andaman and Nicobar Islands during
December, 2004. The team members prematurely stopped the Dx-pedition
activity after tsunami disaster struck the South Asian region on 26th
December 2004 and mobilized their communication resources to provide
humanitarian service to support essential rescue and relief operations.
The services of these amateur radio operators were appreciated by several
agencies in India
and abroad.
