Amateur
Radio Club Licence
Amateur Radio
Club license is issued to a bonafide Amateur Radio society, club or a
school, college, or an institution or a university in India, which has the
aim of investigations in the field of radio or the training of persons in
radio communication techniques without pecuniary interest.
The license
shall be issued in the name of an authorized official of the society, club,
school, college, institute or a university in India holding Grade 1 or
Advanced Grade license. The applicant must not have any other club license
in his/her name.
License
fee:
Grade
1 : Rs. 40 for 2 years / Rs. 100 for 5 years
Advanced
Grade : Rs. 50 for 2 years / Rs. 125 for 5 years
The format
for club licence application is given in the following pages. Please make
necessary amendments to it as needed.
Operation
of Club Station:
The Club
station may be operated by a person who holds a licence of equivalent or
higher category of the club licensee. Prior permission of the Central
Government in writing is needed. The licensee must keep personal
surveillance over the operation of the station. The licensee shall be
responsible for the observance of these rules.
While
operating the club station, the club callsign must be given first followed
by the individual operators callsign.
Transfer of
Club Licence:
The
transfer of a club licence is granted to an authorised official of the
Amateur Radio Club in favour of his successor if such successor holds Grade
1 or Advanced Grade licence
